Suluada Island Cruise — Swim, Sun & Türkiye's Most Beautiful Water
Suluada is an uninhabited island off the Adrasan coast with a shallow turquoise shelf so clear it consistently photographs as Caribbean blue, which is why it is nicknamed Türkiye's Maldives. The cruise departs from Adrasan harbour — about 90 minutes from central Antalya through the Taurus foothills — on a polished wooden gulet with a shaded stern deck and a proper galley. The first stop is Kargıcak Bay, a quieter cove that most boats skip, for an early swim in sheltered water. The main stop at Suluada is typically 1.5 to 2 hours — time to swim in the shallows over white sand, snorkel the rocky edges, and appreciate why people come 90 minutes out of their way for this particular piece of water. The boat makes two or three further swim stops on the loop. Lunch is cooked on board — a hot spread of grilled fish, rice, salad, bread — and served at anchor. The crowd on Suluada cruises is generally calmer than the Antalya pirate boat — couples, small families, guests who want a scenic day rather than a party day. The water justifies the drive. Best booked 3–4 days ahead in high season.

Important information
What to bring
- Swimsuit under your clothes and a second dry swimsuit if you have one
- Beach towel (the boat provides one, but a second is useful)
- Reef-safe waterproof sunscreen, a hat with a strap, and sunglasses
- A light long-sleeve top for the return ride when the sun drops
- Waterproof phone pouch for in-water photos
- Mask and snorkel if you have your own — boat snorkels are basic and shared
- Cash for drinks at the bar onboard and for the photographer if one is on your boat
Before you go
- Departure is from Adrasan harbour — pickup is earlier than coastal-Antalya tours because of the 90-minute drive
- The boat is a wooden gulet with shaded upper deck, sundeck, toilets, and a small bar
- Lunch is cooked onboard (grilled chicken or fish, rice, salad, bread, fruit) — vegetarian on request
- Soft drinks, tea and coffee are usually included; beer and cocktails are extra
- Suluada has no jetty — the boat anchors and you swim/ladder into the bay; expect 3–4 swim stops total
- Water temperature stays around 24–27°C from June to October — outside that range it can feel cold
- Take a motion-sickness tablet 30+ min before departure if you are sensitive — the open sea section can swell
Not suitable for
- Pregnant women in the third trimester (long boat day, no medical facilities onboard)
- Guests with severe motion sickness who cannot use medication
- Non-swimmers who are not comfortable using a life jacket in open water
- Very young children (under 4) — long day on the water with limited shade
- Guests with mobility issues that prevent climbing a boat ladder from the sea

10 Jul 2025Best tour of our entire trip to Turkey! The jeep convoy through the Taurus Mountains was such a rush. Our kids (8 and 11) absolutely loved the waterfall stop and the village lunch. The guides were super attentive and made sure everyone was safe.

3 Sept 2025The Old City and Düden Waterfall tour was simply stunning. Hadrian's Gate and the Kaleiçi streets were unlike anything I'd seen. Our driver was friendly and the tour was perfectly organised from start to finish.
